Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance has promoted Gerald Grimes to the role of divisional managing director. Gerald has worked in financial services for over 20 years, including such companies as GE Capital and The Funding Corporation. He joined Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance in 2007 as head of sales.

BDC management buyout

BDC, the north London electrical distributor, has risen from the ashes after the administrators were called in December 2008, due to a management buyout.

Jeff Moody, Ray Taylor and Steve Gallagher, heading the buyout, prepared a business plan and a financial package that satisfied new investors, enabling BDC 2008, as the new business is titled, to recommence trading. The Micromark, Coolzone and Power Lectrick brands will operated by the new company. It will trade out of six centres around the M25 area with national distribution being serviced from its warehouse HQ in London.
