Samsung aims to be top white goods brand in Europe
Published:  08 November, 2011

Samsung is setting its sights on becoming the number one white goods manufacturer in Europe, and also aims to become the world’s number one domestic appliances brand. The Korean manufacturer opened its first European factory - Samsung Electronics Manufacturing Poland (SEPM) – in 2010 in Wronki in western Poland following the acquisition of a manufacturing plant from Polish brand Amica.

The facility produces fridges and washing machines while a tight production schedule means that the factory is able to meet growing customer demand.

Despite tough market conditions, the brand is steadily establishing itself as one of the top white goods brands in Europe and is proud of its products, which are “made in Europe, for Europe”.

On a visit to the factory, Robert Stobinski, VP and operations team leader at SEPM explained to journalists the reasons for the facility’s success. He cited the main factors as: “Improved production capacity, increased quality and lower costs. As a relatively new member of the EU, we also receive a lot of grants, further boosting our efficiency”.
