Panasonic’s two new 3D-compatible Blu-ray Disc recorders, the DMR-BWT800 and the DMR-BWT700 for Freeview+HD, feature twin HD terrestrial tuners, which enable customers to record two digital broadcasts in full-HD at the same time. They also allow users without a digital TV to watch a digital broadcast and record it simultaneously.
They also record the 5.1-channel surround sound signal and subtitles that are included in digital broadcasts.
The recorders are equipped with 2D-3D Conversion which can convert 2D Blu-ray Disc or 2D DVD into 3D images. Users can enjoy a natural 3D view by combining 3D TV and 3D glasses. Consumers can also convert recorded 2D TV programmes on the hard disc drive to 3D.
