Gildas Pelliet has become managing director of Sony UK & Ireland. Having worked for Sony since 1989, Gildas brings many years of experience to the position. Gildas was MD of Sony Italy from 2006 and recently took up the role of SVP Consumer Marketing Europe.
Sony has also announced that Andy Benson, commercial director for consumer and B2B at Sony, will be taking over as the new MD of Sony Nordics from April 2011.
Beko has appointed Chris Fotheringham to the position of contract sales manager for the North of England. Bringing to Beko 18 years of experience in the kitchen industry, Chris’s previous roles include sales manager for both Electrolux and Neff.
Glen Dimplex Home Appliances (GDHA), has appointed a new management team for its New World brand. Jon Brennan has been appointed commercial manager, supported by Candice Powell as brand manager.
Jon joins GDHA from Arc International, the global leader in tableware, where he was responsible for the company’s UK retail business, working on brands such as Pyrex and Luminarc.
Candice joins the New World team from Lec Medical, the leading manufacturer of medical refrigeration products, where she was senior marketing executive.
