Retra has welcomed Freeview’s move to include retra members on a new section of the digital terrestrial platform’s website.
From next month, Freeview’s website will include a ‘find a retailer’ section, which will include the retra logo and give consumers the opportunity to locate their local independent retailer. The retailer’s association stepped in after complaints from members of Freeview’s failure to mention independents on its website and in TV advertising for Freeview HD.
In a meeting with Freeview, Bryan Lovewell, retra’s chief executive, called for a level playing field and welcomed the platform’s decision to support retra members.
