PURE has once again teamed up with legendary guitar amp manufacturer Marshall to offer a new version of the EVOKE-1S Marshall DAB radio.
Coated in black vinyl, the radio is styled to look like a Marshall amp, complete with solid wood construction, brass-effect control panel and a black metallic speaker grille. Along with a full range hi-fi speaker, the new EVOKE features a bass reflex port, while the optional, matching S-1 standalone speaker offers stereo output and richer bass.
New features include ChargePAK compatibility for rocking out on the go, an OLED panel with automatic brightness adjustment, more station presets and an iPod or MP3 player input. What’s more, the radio also sports a countdown timer, a USB connector and a headphone socket. The inclusion of textSCAN and Intellitext enables users to pause and store text for reading later.
Priced at £119.99, the EVOKE-1S Marshall will initially be released exclusively through HMV, before rolling out to independent retailers.
Rock fans will be pleased to note that, just like the old version, the radio’s volume goes up to 11.
