Big tax rises will harm customers and damage recovery, warned the British Retail Consortium (BRC). Reacting to the Pre-Budget Report BRC chief executive Stephen Robertson said that substantial cuts in public spending must be the main route to bringing public finances under control, not tax rises which would damage demand, stifle recovery and undermine consumer confidence.

Sales of digital radios have reached a milestone, smashing the ten million barrier reports the DRDB (Digital Radio Development Bureau). It took eight years to reach the first five million sales (2007), but the second five million has been achieved in just 30 months.

PURE has announced that it has reached the three million unit milestone in its sales of digital radios worldwide. It took six years to get to the one million mark which was announced in December 2006, and only three years to triple that figure.

PURE has launched PUREnet (www.pure.com/purenet/trade), a dedicated online resource for PURE’s independent dealer network. It contains free and easy access to the latest PURE product information, price lists, custom price tickets, campaign information, images and other useful resources to keep dealers right up to date and enable them to maximise their digital radio sales.
