Throughout 2009 Miele has maintained its focus on innovation and the continuing development of efficient appliances with enhanced performance. Earlier in the year Miele launched its T8926 Heat Pump Dryer – an innovative tumble dryer with reduced energy consumption. Both environmentally friendly and economical, the Heat Pump Dryer has an ‘A’ energy efficiency rating.
It uses pioneering heat pump technology where a refrigerant is condensed by a compressor and led in a closed circuit into a unit where heat is exchanged with the circulating drying air. Because the transfer of air is rapid and efficient, energy consumption and running costs are approximately 46% lower than with a conventional tumble dryer. Next year is also set to be an exciting year with the launch of more new and innovative appliances.
