    Who thought Christmas 2009 could arrive so quickly, and volumes of Flat TV's growing at a massive 15% YoY (source GFK Sept 2009), however the value is down -2.3%. A Flat TV alone brings little comfort of sustainability. We at Vogel's say survival is about the total shopping basket. Offering a limited range of accessories and add-on sales restricts profitability.

    Midwich reached a significant milestone this year as the company celebrated 30 years of trading and set its sights on the independent retail sector.

    Established in 1979, Midwich initially sold components and supplied BBC computers to schools and colleges. In 1984, the company partnered Brother, its first major manufacturer, and began distributing printers before establishing a dedicated AV division in 1995.
