Panasonic's latest 12.1-megapixel Lumix compact camera benefits from newly added Face Recognition technology.
The DMC-FX40 boasts a 25mm ultra-wide angle LEICA DC lens, along with a 5x optical zoom, resulting in almost double the viewing space at the same shooting distance compared to ordinary 35mm cameras, says the maker.
The Face Recognition software enables users to ‘register' each person's face so that when they appear in a picture in the future, the camera will use the optimum focus and exposure for the best shot.
The camera sports a large 2.5in LCD screen and is available in black, silver or red.
