New title for Venus Williams

Venus Williams, who has just won the season-ending Sony Ericsson Championships in Doha, added to her collection of titles the Whirlpool 6TH SENSE Player of the Year Award for 2008. 

Venus was one of ten players short-listed for the award via an online competition organised by Whirlpool, Premier Sponsor of the Tour.  Fans from across Europe were invited to vote for the player who demonstrated best the 6th Sense attributes throughout the season - intuition, intelligence and precision.
