Published:  20 November, 2008

Gorenje, Slovenian domestic appliance manufacturer renowned for its innovative approach to design and technology, has joined forces with Apple to create the fridge freezer which is also an entertainment centre. The innovative ‘Made for iPod' fridge freezer brings together the latest in refrigeration technology and the popular personal audio product.

Officially licensed by Apple and developed by Gorenje, the ‘Made for iPod' fridge freezer features a docking station and built-in speakers on the front of the unit for the touch iPod, while video images are displayed directly on the iPod screen. The docking station also charges the iPod, whilst it plays back movies, TV shows or even accesses the web where wi-fi is available. Wireless internet connectivity enables  browsing for recipes or getting the very latest news on food and nutrition.

The ‘Made for iPod' fridge/freezer is A rated for energy efficiency and will be available from spring 2009.
