Sanyo has introduced its next generation HD camcorder which is also capable of taking 4-megapixel digital still images.

Equipped with the latest high-definition CMOS sensor, the HD1010 is able to capture 1080i hi-def video at 60fps.

Along with a large 2.7in widescreen display, the compact camcorder features Face Detection technology to ensure clear focus.

Additional features include a slow-motion video mode, seven frames per second sequential shooting and a 10x optical HD zoom lens.
