Dubbed a "Blu-ray Network Media System," the NX-BD3 is a Blu-ray Disc home cinema system that also plays a wide range of DVD and CD disc formats. It's also compliant with the Digital Living Network Alliance, an industry standard that allows different products from different manufacturers to share digital music, movies and photos.
The 2.1-channel sound system is powered by 420 watts of amplification and there are Dolby and DTS surround decoders, plus 24p playback for playing Blu-ray movie discs. The latter is a must for movie fans, as it enables them to watch films in the same format they were shot in.
