In the setting of a modern urban apartment Philips demonstrated a full range of its products designed to service all customers' needs, from the moment they wake up to Philips Wake-up Light until they nod off in the evening watching the latest movie using the Philips DVD Home Theatre System which features its unique SoundBar. It uses Ambisound technology which produces a multi-channel surround experience without multiple speakers and cables.
For the music and video enthusiasts, Philips developed its GoGear collection, which includes the SA52 range of portable audio-video players with FullSound technology (enhancing MP3 sound quality) and the 4GB SA5245 miniature MP3 players which offer up to 25-hour music or 5-hour video playback.
Many of the demonstrated products are the updates of the previous models which Philips developed taking into account the feedback of its customers. For example, the new Senseo, Senseo Latte Select extended the range of coffees its makes to the milky varieties and it features a self-clean function of its milk container - for fuss-free maintenance.
A completely new proposition in the Philips portfolio is the collection of Energy Efficient Kettles (HD4671). They are designed to show clearly how much water its boiled, helping to boil only as much waters as is needed which can cut the amount of energy used by 66%.
