Design has featured heavily throughout LG's 2007 range of domestic appliances. Key demand factors among consumers have been capacity, reliability, energy efficiency, innovative features (special functions) and aesthetic elements, and this trend looks set to continue into 2008.
Looking forward, we expect energy efficient products to be extremely popular as the green agenda looks set to dominate the headlines. Also, in keeping with the trend of open plan living, we will continue to see consumers choosing one product over another based on design and colour. For instance, black appliances proved to be very popular in 2007 and many manufacturers are now introducing matching dishwashers, microwave ovens, tumble dryers and more to appeal to consumers.
