Air purifiers – a new retail opportunity during Indoor Allergy Week (19-23 November)
Published:  09 November, 2007

Helping to raise awareness of the needs of allergy sufferers Bionaire, the leader in air treatment, has teamed up with Dr Chris Steele, the resident health expert on ITV's This Morning and Health Journalist of the Year 2007. Together they aim to promote the benefits of air purifiers during Indoor Allergy Week which will take place between 19 and 23 November.

Allergies now affect approximately one in every four people in Britain and this figure is rising by around 5% each year. Symptoms of an allergy happen when our body's immune system overreacts to a substance or environment that is normally harmless.

The Bionaire range of Air Purifiers have been approved by Allergy UK and awarded The British Allergy Foundation 'Seal Of Approval'. They help to improve the home environment by removing allergens, such as smoke, dust, pollen and pet dander from the air that passes through the filter.

Tanguy Rochcongar, european marketing manager, Bionaire commented: “We are delighted to be working with such a well respected medical broadcaster on this important campaign. Together we aim to educate consumers about the benefits of Bionaire air purifiers and how they can remove allergens from the air in our homes.”
