HD in your pocket

The HD1000 from Sanyo is the world's smallest and lightest full HD digital camcorder, says the manufacturer. Joining Sanyo's popular Xacti range of camcorders, the palm-sized HD1000 weighs just 268g and measures 272cm2.

Along with a HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels for video, the gadget takes 4-megapixel digital still images.

The HD1000 features a 2.7in LCD panel, and records to SD or SDHC memory card, and can accommodate around 85 minutes of HD video on a single 8GB card. The camcorder also features an HDMI socket in the base station for linking up to an HDTV.
