Yoshiiku (Mike) Miyata has been appointed as the new chairman and CE of Panasonic Europe Ltd.

Robin Tillbrook joins Husky Home Appliances as director of retail sales. Robin was previously Business Development Director at Glen Dimplex.

Indesit Company appointed Andrei Bgatov as the new channel director responsible for independent electrical retailers together with Regional Chains and Department Stores.

Optimum International, AV furniture specialist has appointed Martin Heap as sales manager for the North and Karli Brinklow as sales manager for the South of England.

…and farewells

Mike Peters, the widely respected independent dealer, founder of Michael R Peters in Bedford, has died after a short illness. Mike was twice the president of retra, served on the retra council for over 25 years and was a member of CIH for 29 years.
