Encouraged by a successful ascent of Kilimanjaro a few years ago, Susan Dean, the public relations representative of Electrolux UK, decided to conquer - for charity - Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Western Europe at around 4,800m. 

Although her first attempt was thwarted by high winds, finally on 17 June at 8am she reached the highest point in Western Europe, admiring one of the best views in the world. As a result she also managed to raise over £1,000 for Bowel Cancer UK.
